Can Daniel Lee's first collection for Burberry revive the brand, as he did with Bottega Veneta?
The return of the Burberry Prorsum collection, a reflection of the brand's heritage, was a wise choice for Lee, who has proven his ability to reshape the past. Lee's intelligent use of checks and focus on roses, as well as his ability to create extravagant dresses with feathers and consistent use of faux fur in accessories.
He also delivers several "it" bags and shoe options, demonstrating his understanding of what sells for Burberry.
However, what stood out the most was Lee's ability to reinvent and honour the Burberry brand, as presented in the classic Burberry trench coats that opened the show.
