Anna Samouka. Designer
Anna Samuka is a fashion designer based in Thessaloniki. Her brand can be found across Greece and Cyprus and will soon be expanding into the global market.
BYO: How would you describe the style of your designs?
ANNA: I would describe my designs with the single word "Feminine". They are designed to accentuate the woman and the female body in all its forms without overshadowing their personality.
BYO: What inspired you to start your brand?
ANNA: At the age of 10, I made my first garment, my designs and the brand I have created have been a natural progression from there.
BYO: Is there a designer that has inspired you and your work?
ANNA: I find it difficult to say a name. There are really so many great designers I admire.
BYO: Why do you think women resonate with your brand and designs?
ANNA: I receive countless thank you messages from women who say they feel special, beautiful, and feel like themselves while wearing my designs. It gives me so much joy and strength to continue with even more love and passion for what I do.
BYO: Greek designers are starting to thrive globally, Is this something you would consider for your brand?
ANNA: In recent years, amazing work has been presented by designers in Greece, it has always been appreciated nationally however it is really exciting that Greek designers are gaining recognition and starting to expand in the global market. We have been approached by other countries to stock our brand and we are planning to expand abroad over the next year.
BYO: Tell us about your latest campaign?
ANNA: It follows our ethos of the brand Anna Samouka, it is all about letting each woman’s personality shine and showing off her feminine side. This campaign showcases new special prints and unique color combinations.
BYO: Where can we find your designs?
ANNA: Our flagship store is located in the center of Thessaloniki Proxenos Koromila 50.
